Mazda is preparing a compact SUV, which will appear under CX-7 model.
With this new model, a concept that we will see next year, on Paris Auto Show, Mazda want to address to people that appreciates safety and the higher position offered by a SUV, and that arenâ€™t interested to have full traction.
So, it is possible that the compact SUV that the Japanese are preparing to be only with rear traction and the technical platform to be the one from MX-5 roadster.

Hyundai Veracruz Best Crossover Suv

Hyundai Veracruz was named the Hyundai VeracruzBest Crossover SUV in its Kiplingerâ€™s Personal Finance 2007 Best List. The editors and analysts evaluated a dozen crossover Hyundai VeracruzSUV’s to name the Veracruz as the “Best” for consumers shopping in the crossover SUV market.
Hyundai Veracruz can also be accessorized to compare with much pricier luxury crossovers. This new Hyundai combines a sleek exterior design and an upscale interior with the 3.8 liter DOHC V6 engine performance. The standard safety features also includes ESC- Electronic Stability Control.

This new Touareq is not so new afterall.Its just the old one with a series of changes and updates at the exterior and the interior.

The engines are the same but with a some extra horsepower.The front grille is bigger and better so that it changes the whole car making it look elegant.Redesigned headlights and fog lights are now mounted on the Touareq and a new spoiler also.

The suprise are the big, standard 19 inches wheels on the versions with the V8 and V10 engines.

As for safety measures, new rollover system is now available for Touareq, ABSPlus and an upgraded ESP system.

Subaru B9 Tribeca changes in 2008

The changes starts at the exterior and end with a new powerful engine.The front end is different from the old Tribeca, now the car doesn’t seem to have a nose anymore, now it s front end looks like a powerful and sporty SUV.The name will change a little bit, the B9 will disapear, now its just Tribeca.Under the hood Subaru mounted the big and improved 3.6 liter that provides 256 BHP, with 11 more than the old one and with better fuel economy.

Volkswagen prepares Touareg R

Volkswagen announced that they want to make an R version for their SUV, VW Touareg. After Golf R32 and Passat R36 it’s Touareg’s time to become a sports car. VW Touareg R could be named R50 and it will have for sure the same characteristic design elements of Golf R32 and Passat R36. The confirmed information presents the car with an V10 diesel engine of 4.9 litres and not one on gasoline, but the R-Touareg could have an W12 engine capable of 450HP. That would not be a smart move because it will be a serious competitor for Audi Q7 V12 TDI.

Audi Q7- 5 stars

Audi Q7 NHTSA test
National Highway Transport Safety Administration, an American Institute awarded Audi Q7 with its maximum note of 5 starts for 2 separate tests. Q7 was passive for two crash tests: a front impact at 56 km/h and a lateral impact with a mobile barrier, at 62 km/h. Americans gave also a 4 stars distinction for overthrow safety, the best score obtained of a SUV. This is great, taking in consideration that NHTSA requirements are strictness than the legal requirements in USA.
